This is one of my favourite views of Chatsworth House, taken from Queen Mary’s Bower Bridge and looking down the River Derwent. Chatsworth House is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire and has been home to his family, the Cavendish family, since Bess of Hardwick settled at Chatsworth in 1549.

This image was taken on 8th May 2012 and is a composite of 3 separate exposures, merged with Photomatix HDR software and finished with Photoshop CS5.

The image is 4304 x 2862px at 300dpi resolution.

The 1000 acre Chatsworth Park on the banks of the river Derwent was designed by ‘Capability’ Brown in the 1760s and remains one of the most beautiful and historic man-made landscapes in Britain.”
