Unless the weather is really windy, taking action shots of crashing waves can be difficult. To keep your feet dry, a good zoom lens and a sturdy tripod are essential tools. On this shot, the light wasn’t great so the ISO had to be boosted to catch the action. The shot was taken at Kynance Cove on the Lizard in Cornwall on 14th July 2010 with a Nikon D90 and Nikon VR 18-200mm zoom lens at a local length of 200mm.
