This is probably my favourite location in Cornwall. Kynance Cove is very picturesque and is important historically and geologically. To experience Kynance at its best, it is best to arrive at the car park about 3 hours before low tide. There is then a half mile or so descent down to the beach with several excellent photo opportunities along the way. The beach at Kynance Cove really unfolds at low tide when it is possible to explore the caves (The Parlour and The Drawing Room) and the bases of the serpentine rock stacks such as The Bishop, Gull Rock and Asparagus Island. And there’s a a good cafe and toilets.

This image, created with 3 exposures, was taken from the cliff path just before descending to the beach. It was taken with a Nikon D90 fitted with a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8G wide-angle zoom lens at a focal length of 14mm.

The image size is 4283 x 2851 at 300dpi resolution.
